Smart Stop Sign

Never again have the trouble of playing a guessing game of who reach the stop sign first. Be at ease of confirmation of who has the right of way as the complete order of which vehicle to go first will be displayed for the driver's view.

This design is also meant to  help create a safer environment as it would deter potential accidents as by again removing the guessing if there is more than one vehicle approaching the four-way stop appropriately at the same time.

With the indications that are meant to inform motorists of other motorists, pedestrians will also be able to announced their presence when at the intersections to be given the opportunity to cross with adequate time.

 

Using a series of cameras the Smart Stop Sign will be able to detect vehicles as they approach the intersection. Vehicles along with pedestrians will be entered into a queue controlled by a primary microcontroller which will be receiving data from 3 secondary microcontrollers placed at each stop sign equipped with their own camera.

 

The secondary microcontrollers will communicate with the primary microcontroller using bluetooth to provide information and receive commands. Once a command has been received the appropriate lights will illuminate to signal to pedestrians or vehicles when it is safe to enter the intersection.
